Covid-19 Rules and regulations
Update on measures in Switzerland

The pandemic influences the organisation of a congress and of course your personal planning intensely. Please be aware that we are very attentive to every detail to ensure a smoothly running event for you. The information below will be continuously updated to reflect the current situation.

Update: 21 March 2022

The Swiss Federal Office of Public Health states that there are currently no test or quarantine requirements for entering Switzerland, and also that people entering do not need to fill out an electronic entry form. Be aware that this status can change at any time, especially in connection with variants of concern and related measures. Please consult the relevant website to get up to date information.

Corona-related measures have been relaxed in Switzerland since mid-February 2022 (more information). It is no longer mandatory to wear masks in indoor rooms, restaurants or other facilities, with the exceptions listed below. You do not need to show a certificate to enter restaurants, concerts or museums.

Symptoms: Persons showing symptoms of Covid-19 are requested to leave the premises of WBF2022 immediately. They are advised to return to their hotel / home wearing a hygiene mask and to follow the instructions given by the BAG in the event of symptoms of the disease.

Advised measures

While the measures are no longer mandatory, infection rates are still very high. Therefore, we suggest adhering to the following list of measures to avoid outbreaks of Covid-19 among WBF2022 participants.

  • It is advised that a distance of 1.5 meters between participants or staff is kept whenever possible.
  • Doors and/or windows are left open as much as feasible to ensure sufficient ventilation.
  • Door handles, handrails, lift knobs, surfaces, armrests of chairs and other equipment and objects that are often touched by several people are cleaned and disinfected regularly, but at least before and after each event in the hall concerned, using a professional cleaner.
  • If the CO2 target value is exceeded, the ventilation systems of the congress centre switch on automatically. Only fresh air is blown in from outside via the switched-on unit.
  • The in-house catering service operates in compliance with all safety regulations and in accordance with the Gastro Suisse protection concept.

This concept will be updated as soon as any changes occur for measures and regulations. Should you wish to read our previous Covid-19 concept to find out what measures were in place when the situation was more serious, you can find it here.
