Update on measures in Switzerland


The pan­dem­ic in­flu­ences the or­gan­i­sa­tion of a con­gress and of course your per­son­al plan­ning in­tense­ly. Please be aware that we are very at­ten­tive to every de­tail to en­sure a smooth­ly run­ning event for you. The in­for­ma­tion be­low will be con­tin­u­ous­ly up­dat­ed to re­flect the cur­rent sit­u­a­tion.

The Swiss Fed­er­al Of­fice of Pub­lic Health states that there are cur­rent­ly no test or quar­an­tine re­quire­ments for en­ter­ing Switzer­land, and al­so that peo­ple en­ter­ing do not need to fill out an elec­tron­ic en­try form. Be aware that this sta­tus can change at any time, es­pe­cial­ly in con­nec­tion with vari­ants of con­cern and re­lat­ed mea­sures. Please con­sult the rel­e­vant web­site to get up to date in­for­ma­tion.


Coro­na-re­lat­ed mea­sures have been re­laxed in Switzer­land since mid-Feb­ru­ary 2022 (more in­for­ma­tion). It is no longer manda­to­ry to wear masks in in­door rooms, restau­rants or oth­er fa­cil­i­ties, with the ex­cep­tions list­ed be­low. You do not need to show a cer­tifi­cate to en­ter restau­rants, con­certs or mu­se­ums. 


Symp­toms: Per­sons show­ing symp­toms of Covid-19 are re­quest­ed to leave the premis­es of WBF2022 im­me­di­ate­ly. They are ad­vised to re­turn to their ho­tel / home wear­ing a hy­giene mask and to fol­low the in­struc­tions giv­en by the BAG in the event of symp­toms of the dis­ease.


Ad­vised mea­sures

While the mea­sures are no longer manda­to­ry, in­fec­tion rates are still very high. There­fore, we sug­gest ad­her­ing to the fol­low­ing list of mea­sures to avoid out­breaks of Covid-19 among WBF2022 par­tic­i­pants.

  • It is ad­vised that a dis­tance of 1.5 me­ters be­tween par­tic­i­pants or staff is kept when­ev­er pos­si­ble.
  • Doors and/or win­dows are left open as much as fea­si­ble to en­sure suf­fi­cient ven­ti­la­tion.
  • Door han­dles, handrails, lift knobs, sur­faces, arm­rests of chairs and oth­er equip­ment and ob­jects that are of­ten touched by sev­er­al peo­ple are cleaned and dis­in­fect­ed reg­u­lar­ly, but at least be­fore and af­ter each event in the hall con­cerned, us­ing a pro­fes­sion­al clean­er.
  • If the CO2 tar­get val­ue is ex­ceed­ed, the ven­ti­la­tion sys­tems of the con­gress cen­tre switch on au­to­mat­i­cal­ly. On­ly fresh air is blown in from out­side via the switched-on unit.
  • The in-house cater­ing ser­vice op­er­ates in com­pli­an­ce with all safe­ty reg­u­la­tions and in ac­cor­dance with the Gas­tro Su­isse pro­tec­tion con­cept.
